The Goal in Life is not to Rest, but Discover

The Goal in Life is not to Rest, but Discover

CEO and Entrepreneur Ryan Blair coined the term The Death Cycle inspired by Dr. King’s quote-

“Most men die at 21, we just don’t bury them until they’re 65 or 70. -Martin Luther King”

Ryan goes on…”People lose their passion early and quit believing in all that life has to offer. They often repeat the very cycle their parents did. Once that happens they mentally die and live a life cycling towards death. I don’t feel they’re weak, but rather trapped. A strong person can get  trapped too. A man’s will easily shapes to its environment.”
That is why it is important to change your environment, meet new people reshape goals.  The goal in life is not to rest, but discover.  The American environment for so many has been to find “the weekend” or comfort.  This leads to poverty.
Let’s expand on the concept of discovery over rest.  Have you ever heard someone say this phrase?  ”The best two moments of our vacation were the day we left, and they day we came home”?   Think about it.
We were excited to start the vacation and finally get some rest.  We were so excited about getting on the road so we can rest, we couldn’t sleep.  The reality is, the excitement was because we were doing something new.  We were doing something outside of our routine and discovering something we never, or rarely experienced.   Bu then after a few days of rest, we are excited to get back home….why?….because we were created to do things, discover things, create, achieve.
When we are “working for the weekend”, we are coming into agreement that our purpose in life is to serve another’s vision rather than our own.  This is never true.  We each have things we yearn to see, but sometimes we lose sight of these things simply because they seem unattainable since we are so busy fulfilling someone else’s dream- with our hope to someday retire from doing so.
I’ve seen people retire and do nothing…like that is the goal.  I have personally seen it and NEVER want to experience it.  It is vid of purpose, vision, and discovery.  I want to be discovering new things beyond even my death.  For eternity, I want to say WOW as new things are discovered, whether they be in this body, or my spirit.
Make new goals, dream and don’t stop dreaming
